Bob was awarded the '2017 Cattleman of the Year' from the Arizona Cattlemen's Association.
Congratulations to Bob Prosser and his wife Judy, owners of the Bar T Bar Ranch, Bob is the 2017 Cattleman of the Year, given by the AZ Cattlemen's Association.
This Colorado native graduated from CSU with a degree in Agriculture Industries Management. He developed, and for many years operated Northern Arizona’s first Bluegrass sod farm. Throughout this time, he strived to breed and develop the “perfect cow” not only for his ranch, but for other ranchers in the arid Southwest. His cattle are awed by many and prove themselves to ranchers all over the Southwest.
While his passion is selecting and breeding the best genetics possible, he has always come to the plate in serving this industry. He currently is the Western Regional Coordinator for Seed Stock Plus. Just this year, he received the 2017 Arizona Section Society of Rane Management Range Manager of the Year Award. For 10 years he also chaired Arizona Cattle Growers' Association's (ACGA) Federal Lands Committee. He also served on the Governor’s Rangeland Technical Advisors Committee. In 1993, he and a neighboring ranch founded the Diablo Trust. He also spearheaded the book “Keepers of the Range”, and several years ago, received NCBA’s Region VI Environmental Stewardship Award.
