The holidays are a time of friends and family, to those who are blessed with them.
But what about those who no longer have that option?
I’d like to suggest making a little time and effort to help those who might be struggling with the holidays. It doesn’t have to be a big production. Just sending a simple card can let someone know that somewhere out there, someone cares.
My favorite thing is to get a large assortment of socks, motel-sized shampoo and soaps, sample-size deodorant toothpaste and toothbrushes, and make little care packages to drop off at local shelters. It’s not very expensive and I hope that it helps those struggling.
Put yourself in another person’s place, and think how just a simple item could brighten a dark day.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
